I do a lot of stuff—graphics and design for both web and print, writing, editing, even a modest amount of net geek stuff. It’s very different stuff in some ways, yet there are some connecting threads—creativity and communication.

I’m a communicator—not just a designer or a writer, or a print person or a web person—although I am all those things. I think what’s important is not what medium you’re working in, or how trendy your design is, or how many bells and whistles your website can show off. What matters is that, whether in print or online, you actually communicate to that person you’re trying to reach.

If your website is hard to navigate, or your brochure is cluttered and unappealing, or your newsletter is full of typos, you look unprofessional and your reader may not even bother to read. You’ve missed your chance with that person. But if there’s content that’s interesting, and it’s presented in an attractive way that fits with you, your company and what you’re trying to accomplish, well, you’ve got a winner!

And that’s what my “specialty” is—putting all that together for you—medium and message, content and appearance, quality and service—communicating for results.
